Found in Sulawesi in remnants of dry, low forest on serpentinite soil at elevations of 100 to 400 meters as a miniature to just small sized, hot growing epiphyte with a hanging rhizome enveloped by persistent rhizome scales with .6 to 1" [1.5 to 2.5 cm] between each small, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, medium green, not suffused with purple, elliptic, obtuse, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a porrect peduncle ca .12" [.3 cm] long, rachis nodding, 1.98" [4.5 cm] long, .6" [1.5 cm] long overall, single flowered inflorescence with tubular at the base, acute, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying flowers with pale yellow sepals with large, dark red spots near the base, smaller spots towards the tip and the margins, pale yellow petals with dull brownish red appendages, a dark red lip and a yellowish column, stained with pale red.
