Found in Java and Borneo at elevations of 200 to 1700 meters as a miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a short, creeping rhizome giving rise to small, ovoid to globose to cylindrical, not angular pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect to patent, elliptic to obovate, obtuse, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on a arching to pendent, 2.8 to 8" [7 top 20 cm] long, densely ellipsoid-cylindrical, many flowered inflorescence
