Found in New Guinea in montane forests on trees at elevations around 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong, apiculate, narrowing below into the base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 1/2 to .8" [1,25 to 2 cm] long, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with minute floral bracts and carrying minute flowers.
