Found in Sabah and Kalimantan Borneo in high montane and open montane podozolic forests at elevations around 1000 to 1700 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with .12 to .4" [.3 to 1 cm] between each ovoid, not flattened pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, rather thick, ovate to elliptic, medium to dark green, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, 4.4 to 9.4" [11 to 23 cm] long overall, peduncle 4.2 to 8" [10.5 to 20 cm] long, rachis 1.6" [to 4 cm] long, successively single, to 22 flowered inflorescence with triangular, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying non-fragrant flowers with basally white sepals becoming pale orange towards the apex, the petals transluscent and the lip is pale yellow to orange basally and white towards the apex, abaxially with some green to greyish brown .
