Common Name Takeuch's Bulbophyllum [original collector of the type current]

Found in the Bismarck Archipelago as a mini-miniature sized, erect to suberect epiphyte with a creeping rhizome concealed by sheaths and giving rise to obovoid, smooth smooth, yellow green pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic to lanceolate, apically obtuse; base surfaces glossy green, firm, rib sunken above, duplicative below into the sessile base leaf that blooms on a more or less fascicled, lateral from the base of the pseudobulb, erect, peduncle short, .128 to .158" [3.1 to 3.8 mm] long, provided with a single glabrous sheath, single flowered inflorescence.
