Found in southern Bahia state of Brazil in native Atlantic forests as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with deltoid, transversely elliptic, green, smooth pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptic, flat, acute, constricted below into the base leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on a basal, erect, cylindrical, to 6" [15 cm] long, rachis to 2.4" [6 cm], pendulous, thin, about 10 flowered inflorescence with an inconspicuous basal bract, others above not imbricating, and on the rachis sessile, not imbricate bracts and carrying simultaneously opening, pendent flowers.
