Common Name The Tentacled Bulbophyllum [refers to the petals]
Flower Size .2" [5 mm] wide
Found in New Guinea in lowland forests at elevations around 30 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a flexible, glabrous rhizome with .2 to .28" [5 to 7 mm] between each ovoid, obtuse, 4-angled pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect-patent, ovate, glabrous, apiculate leaf that blooms in the winter on a basal, to 2" [to 5 cm] long, erect, single flowered inflorescence with small, acuminate, many times shorter than the ovary and pedicel floral bracts.
