Common Name Tentacle Carrying Bulbophyllum [refers to the petals]

Found in New Guinea at elevations around 2300 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with subparellel to the rhizome, subcylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, erect, ligulate, apiculate leaf that narrows to the base and blooms in the fall on an erect, 1 3/5" to 2 1/4" [4 to 6 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with cucullate, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying a nonresupinate flower.
