Found in Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam on deciduous trees in highland cloud forest at elevations of 600 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with .8" [2 cm] between each small, globose to conical, clustered pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect to suberect, leathery, dark green to reddish above, reddish purple beneath, elliptic, obtuse, shortly petiolate and conduplicate base leaf that blooms in the late spring on a basal, erect to descending, slender, 1.5" [3.25 cm] long, to 13 flowered inflorescence that is shorter than the leaves, has a mid-point bract and holds the simultaneously opening flowers in a loose umbel.

A diagnostic feature of this species is the papillose lateral sepals.
