Common Name Tindemans' Bulbophyllum
Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]
Found in the Bismark Archipelago in lower montane forests at eleavations around 850 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a stiffly patent to pendulous rhizome with persistent fibrous bracts, and .8" [2 cm] between each obovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, ovate, acute, abaxially rugose, subsessile base leaf that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a short, to 1" [2.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with basally tubular, acute, shorter than the ovary floral bracts
