Found in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea on trees in primary forests at elevations of sea level to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with .6 to .9" [1.5 to 2.2 cm] between each, discoid to ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, obtuse, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 5 to 15" [12 to 37 cm] long, often slightly zigzag, often verrucose, 5 to 13 flowered inflorescence with 5 to 6 bracts and ovate to triangular, acute floral bracts and carrying scattered, only a few open at a time flowers .
