Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 800 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a rhizome with .48 to .6" [1.2 to 1.5 cm] between each cylindrical pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic-ligulate, acute to subacute, cuneate base leaf that blooms in the winter on an erect, very short, covered with a few peduncle-scales, single flowered inflorescence with horter than the ovary floral bracts.
