Found in Sulawesi in montane forests at elevations around to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with close set, ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, elliptic to ovate to obovate, acute, petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect to patent, peduncle 1 to 1.1" [2.5 to 2.9 cm] long, provided with 3 bracts, rachis porrect to arching, zigzag bent, not thickened, up to .68" [1.7 cm] long, elongate, successively single, 1 to 22 flowered inflorescence with basally tubular, acute, shorter than the ovary floral bracts with entirely dark purple flowers.
