Found in penninsular Malaysia and, Sabah and Sarawak Borneo in lowlands on trees by rivers at elevations of 1400 to 1500 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with very close set, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, broadest in the upper half, shortly pointed, narrowing gradually below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall, winter and later spring on a to 1.6" [4 cm] long, drooping, closely many flowered inflorescence
