Common Name The Three Palae Bulbophyllum [refers to the three elongated palae that hang from each of the the sepals]

Found only in Thailand in seasonal deciduous forests at elevations around 1260 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with close-set, squat, nearly globular to conical ovoid, dark green pseudobulbs enveloped in youth by a basal sheath that with age breaks up into a polygonal pattern and carries 2 apical, suberect to slightly spreading, deciduous, fleshy, thinly leathery, broadly lanceolate, acute, obtuse to rounded, sessile base leaves that blooms in the spring after leaf fall, on a thin, basal, ascending to erect peduncle, 1.2" to 2.4" [3 to 6 cm] long, light green, rachis pendent, inflorescence with a dense head of many apical, simultaneously opening flowers
