Found in Papua and New Guinea on moss-free trunks of large trees in rainforests at elevations of 50 to 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with close-set, globular to ovoid pseuodbulbs carrying a single apical, elliptical, round apically and petiolate below leaf that blooms in the late spring and summer on a basal, slender, 2" [5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence which is decurved at the apex and holds the flower just below the leaf.
