Found in New Guinea in primary forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to clustered, ovoid pseduobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong, apiculate, attenuate base leaf that blooms in the late fall and early winter on very short, single flowered inflorescence.
