Found in Tachira Venezuela at elevations around 700 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with clustered, spherical-subtetragonal, pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, acute, oblong leaf that blooms on a basal, erect, to 4.4" [11 cm] long overall, peduncle enveloped by 3 to 4, scarious, tubular, distaant bracts, rachis 1" [2.5 cm] apically several flowered inflorescence with scarious, ovate, obtuse floral bracts.
