Common Name Veldkamp's Bulbophyllum
Flower Size
Found only in Sulawesi in disturbed primary forests at elevations of 600 to 700 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with .32 to .6" [.8 to 1.5 cm] between each clustered, ovoid, non-angular pseudobulb and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptic-obovate to obovate, gradually narrowing below into the 1.2 to 2" [3 to 5 cm] long, petiolate base leaf that blooms on a erect to patent, lax, to 2' [60 cm] long, successively single to 11 flowered inflorescence with conduplicate, acute floral bracts.
