Found in Kalimantan Borneo and Aceh Sumatra in slightly disturbed, rather tall riverine forests at elevations of 500 to 600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growng epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to ovoid to cylindrical, somewhat flattened or not psaeudobulbs carrying a single apical, erect, elliptic, rounded, petiolaet base leaf that blooms on an erect, peduncle to .56" [1.6 cm] provided with scales, to 1" [2.5 cm] long overall, single flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
Within the section this species is immediately recognized by its very short, vestigal petals
