Found in penninsular Malaysia and Sabah Borneo at elevations around 1100 to 2000 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with up to 5" [12.5 cm] between each pseudobulb and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, fleshy, rounded, slightly cleft leaf that blooms in the summer on a basal, either from the base of the leaf or along the rhizome, to 2.6" [6.5 cm] long, to 8 flowered inflorescence
