Found in Queensland Australia in rainforests on small upper branches of trees at elevations of 700 to 1600 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphtye with a sparsely branched rhizome enveloped by brown bracts and carrying partially enveloped by bracts, dark green pseudobulbs carrying a single, dark green, narrowly and shallowly grooved leaf that blooms in the late winter and earlier spring on 1 to 3, 1.4" [3.5 cm] long, usually single flowered inflorescence
