Found in Peru and Bolivia in subxerophytic forests at elevations around 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to angular, squat, ovoid, ridged pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong, acute, abruptly narrowing belo wi nto the base leaf that blooms in the late spring ans early summer on a basal, pendulous, terete, thin, 4 6 bracted, 4 to 6” [10 to 15 cm] long, 4 to 6 flowered inflorescence with small floral bracts.
