Found in Papua New Guinea in lower motane forests at elevations around 750 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm growing epiphyte with a rhizome giving rise to close together, conical pseudobulbs enveloped by large, ovate, papery, keeled mucronate sheaths and carrying a single, apical, lanceolate, acute, acuminate, subcoriaceous, pale green when dried, keeled, narrowing into the base leaf that blooms on a short, .4" [1 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
