Found in Bhutan, Assam, India, Yuunnan and Guizhou provinces of China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam in lowland humid, mossy, mixed and coniferous forests on mossy branches along ridge tops around elevations of 410 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with minute, cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, stiff, elliptic to broadly elliptic, petiolate leaf that blooms in the spring and summer with a from the rhizome, erect, 2" [5 cm] long inflorescence with 2 basal acuminate bracts and another towards the middle and carrying an apical cluster of a few flowers
