Found in the Bismark Archipelago in owland forests at elevations around 275 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with a long creeping rhizome enveloped by somewhat persistent bracts and with up to 3.6" [9 cm] between eah, ovoid-cylindrical pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic-oblong, rounded apically, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring on arising from the rhizome, 4.8" [12 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with tubular, shorter than the ovary floral bracts
