Common Name The Yunnan Bulleyia [a province of southern China] - In China Feng Yao Lan

Found in the Chinese Himalayas, eastern Himalayas and Assam, on tree trunks and humus covered boulders in mixed forests at elevations of 1300 to 2500 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte or lithophyte with clustered, narrowly ovoid to narrowly ovoid-ellipsoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, linear-lanceolate to lanceolate, chartaceous, long acuminate, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a terminal, pendant, 12 to 25.4" [30 to 66 cm] long, racemose, 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence with reddish green, conduplicate, enveloping the flower, floral bracts.
