Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 600 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with elongate pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, ligulate, obtuse leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on a short, terminal, single flowered inflorescence
