Flower Size 1.4 to 1.6" [3.5 to 4 cm]

Found in the Amani Islands of the Ryukyu Islands in forests at elevations below 500 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing, not stem-like terrestrial with usually 1 to 2, erect but spreading from the base, elliptic, acute, 5 nerved beneath, gradually narrowing to the base leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, arising from between the leaves, glabrous, slender, rounded, pubescent, 12 to 16" [30 to 40 cm] long, laxly 4 flowered inflorescence with regualrly spaced sheathing bracts and persistent, ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous floral bracts.
