Common Name The Narrow Leafed Calanthe - In China Xia Ye Xia Ji Lan

Found in Malaysia, Java, the Philippines, Sumatra, Vietnam, Yunnan China and Taiwan in deep moss forests at elevations of 1000 to 2300 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a creeping rhizome and 3.6" [9 cm] between each pseudobulb carrying 5 to 6, linear-lanceolate, plicate, acuminate, acute, narrowing basally into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer and early fall on an axillary, terete, 4.4" [11 cm] long, few flowered, racemose inflorescence with three tubular bracts and a lanceolaate one towards the apex.
