Common Name or Meaning The Ovate Calanthe

Found in the Cameron Highlands of Malaysia on stream banks at elevations around 1200 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial orchid with obovate to lanceolate, cuspidate, glabrous, gradually narrowing basally into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, peduncle to 30" [75 cm] long, rachis to 4" [10 cm] long, 34" [to 85 cm] long, to 25 flowered inflorescence with ovate, shortly cuspidate, pubescent, persistent floral bracts
