Common Name Brown's Caladenia- Karri Spider Orchid

Flower Size 2 to 3.2" [5 to 8 cm]

The flower on the left is Cal browni, the figure in the middle is Cal serotina and the flower on the right is a hybrid between the two. Found in Western Australia at elevations of 20 to 60 meters in open forests, woodlands, coastal scrub and heath as a medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial orchid with a single leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 12 to 24" [30 to 60 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence. .
