Common Name The Crystaline White Flowered Calanthe

Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]

Found in Sulawesi and the Moluccas in lowland and hill forests at elevations of sealevel to 400 meters along valleys by rivers as a medium sized, hot growing terrestrial with clustered, small pseudobulbs carrying 5 to 8, plicate, many nerved, oblong-lanceolate, glabrous, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later spring through summer on an erect, peduncle terete, rachis to 12" [30 cm] long, overall to 44" [110 cm] long, moderately densely many flowered inflorescence with refelexed, lanceolate, floral bracts.

CAUTION I am not sure of this determination as the spur is too short and not deflexed.

Synonyms Calanthe veratrifolia var. lancipetala J.J.Sm. 1930
