Found in Australia and Widespread throughout Victoria, except Mallee and Wimmera as well as Tasmania in areas with well-drained soils in open forest and woodland extending into highland and montane zones at elefations of sea level to 500 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a single, leaf that blooms in the late winter through summer on an erect, 18" [45cm] long, 1 to 6 flowered inflorescence with fragrant flowers
