Found in Thailand and China in hill forests at elevations of 500 to 1000 meters as a medium sized, warm growing terrestrial with clustered, ovoid-conical, constricted below the apex, angled in crossection pseudobulb carrying 3 to 4, elliptic, acuminate, plicate, many nerved, attenuate below into the variable petiolate base leaves that are deciduous in the dry season and arising before blooming in the late fall and early winter on an erect, rachis to 8.8" [22 cm] long, to 34" [85 cm] overall, rather few flowered inflorescence with ovate basally, long acuminate apically, pubescent floral bracts
