Common Name The Dwarf Caladenia - In Australia - The Little Pink Fan-Orchid

Flower Size 3/4" [1.8 cm]

Often cited as a synonym of C reptans. This southwestern Australian orchid is a miniature sized, cold growing, colony-forming terrestrial locally common in Jarrah forests in well drained loams with a basally purple blotched, reddish beneath leaf that blooms in the spring after a grassfire has past the previous summer on a 2 to 6" [5 to 15 cm] long, pubescent, 1 to 3 flowered, apically swollen inflorescence.
