Found in Guyana as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with an erect, short stem carrying 5 to 7, obliquely ligulate-oblanceolate to oblong-elliptic, bilobed apically, leaves that blooms on a 1" [2.5 cm] long, erect, many flowered inflorescence

Similar to C steyermarkii but C christenson differs in the cylindrical-clavate, sigmoid, spur that is subequal in length to the lip, C sterermarkii the spur cylindrical, incurved and clearly shorter than the lip. The lateral sepals of C christenson are oblong-lanceolate to ligulate, in C steyermark they are oblong-triangular and the lip of C christenson is entire while C steyermarkii are weakly trilobed.
