Found in southern Colombia in the department of Cauca on el Vulcan de Purace at elevations of 2900 to 3200 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte that blooms in the spring on several axillary short inflorescence. The photo was taken just within the national park of Purace 6/07.
