Found in Pando department of Bolivia in riverine forests at elevations around 180 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with clustered, elliptic-fusiform, 4 noded pseudobulbs carrying 7 to 10, deciduous, oblong-lanceolate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on a male, arcuate, to 8" [20 cm] long, triangular bracts, to 15 flowered inflorescence with narrowly triangular floral bracts and carrying resupinate flowers
