Found in Para' state of Brazil at elevations around 40 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with oblong-fusiform, several noded, erect, becoming rugose and sulcate with age pseudobulbs carrying oblong-lanceolate, undulate margins, plicate with prominent veined leaves that blooms in the late spring on a male, lateral, slightly arcuate, rigid, 6" [15 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with amplexicaul, acute, white floral bracts and carrying non resupinate flowers.
