Common Name The Peruvian Catasetum

Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]

Found in Peru in montane forests at elevations around 500 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with fusiform pseudobulbs enveloped completely by 8 to 9, foliaceous sheaths and carring plicate, elliptic, acute to acuminate leaves that blooms in the spring on a basal, shorter, few flowered female inflorescence and a basal, longer, many flowered male inflorescence
