Found in Amazonas Brazil as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with elliptic, noded pseudobulbs carrying up to 6, plicate, elliptic, acute, narrowing below into the clasping pseudopetiolate base leaves that blooms on a basal, erect, 7.2 to 8.8" [18 to 22 cm] long, stout, green, several flowered inflorescence

CAUTION The first photo is a good match but was collected on the Pacific coast of Ecuador which has not been cited as a locality for this orchid. The second photo by Rudolf Jenny has no references that support it as this speciews. So Please use extreme caution with these determinations!!!!!
