Common Name Cattleya with the Elongated Stalk

Flower Size 3 1/8" [8 cm]

Found in Bahia, Minas Gerais and Pernambuco states of Brazil as a bifoliate, large sized, warm to cool growing lithophytic species found on bare rock outcroppings at elevations of 900 to 1500 meters in bright light with narrowly cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, narrowly elliptic leaves that blooms in the late summer on a terminal, 8 to 24" [20 to 60 cm] long , 2 to several [10] flowered inflorescence with fragrant, long-lived, heavy-textured, color variable flowers.
