Common Name The Yavita Catasetum [a town in southwestern Venezuela]

Found in southwestern Venezuela in wet forests at elevations of 100 to 200 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with an arching, to 10 flowered inflorescence carrying resupinate flowers that are dark green to dark maroon.
Similar to C juruenense bt differs in the lip shape. It is also similar to C callosum but differs in the short antennae that touch each other but never reach the basal callus of the lip vs long divergent antennae that rest on either side of the callus.
