Found in western Sumatra in hill and montane forests on tree trunks and branches on steep slopes at elevations of 600 to 1600 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with close, shiney pale green stems carrying a single, linear, obliquely acute, fleshy, shiney green above leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on 1 to 2, terminal, thin, terete, .28" to .92" [1.9 to 2.3 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
