A mini-miniature sized, cold to cool growing terrestrial in alpine meadows at elevation of 2000 to 2700 meters in Norway, Sweden, Finland, France, Germany, Czeckloslovakia, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Yugoslavai, Romania and Poland with small ovoid tubers from which arise 5 to 8, basal, narrowly linear leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, 5" long, several to many [8 to 15] flowered inflorescence appearing in the spring and summer.
