Common Name D'Allesandro's Chaubardiella [Ecuadorian Orchid Enthusiast current]

This is an Ecuadorean and Peruvian, warm to cool growing epiphytic species from wet, montane forests at elevations of 900 to 1800 meters. It has several axillary, lateral to pendant at ground level, 1 1/5" [3 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence held at the base of the imbricating, distichous, oblong-obovate, shortly acuminate leaves that are narrowing into a subpetiolate base that blooms in the spring on a pendent single flowered inflorescence carrying a foul scented flower.
