Found in Costa Rica and Colombia in premontane and lower montane rainforests at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with no pseudobulbs and deep green, concave, lanceolate, basally conduplicate, sulcate, apicaulate leaves and foliaceous bracts blooming in the summer and fall on a basal, single flowered , 1 3/5" to 2" [4 to 5 cm] long inflorescence arising on a newly matured growth with a non-resupinate, pendulous flower.
