Found in southeastern Yunnan Province China in forests on limestone mountains at elevations of 1100 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 4, green, often reticulated with dark green, ovate-cordate, acute to subacuminate, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late fall and earlier winter on a terminal, erect, 2.4 to 3.6" [6 to 9 cm] long, pubescent, rachis usually less than .4" [1 cm] long, 2 to 4 flowered inflorescnece with 2 to 3 sterile bracts and ovate-lanceoalte, acuminate floral bracts.
