Common Name The Folded Chondroscaphe [refers to the pleated midlobe of the lip]

Found in Junin Peru in wet montane forests at elevations around 1700 to 1900 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with 3 to 4, stiff, lanceoalte, acuminate, conduplicate below into the base leaves that blooms in the spring on a basal, lax, 2.8" [7 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
